24 Hours

I have had a busy 24 hours doing several bits and pieces.
Tuesday morning made another book using the handmade paper from class.
Stitched over tea bag paper and coloured in with pencils.

Tuesday evening in class we started a new book using Case Binding.
This binding and covering is the usual type where the spine is sewn through the signatures and then covered.
Industrial guillotine.
Added the inside front cover pages. Finishing next week in class.
After being guillotined.
7am Wednesday morning, checked the rain gauge from the overnight rain.
8.30am Wednesday morning at Rose Garden.

Spent 3.5 hours deadheading our 3 "Appleblossom" weepers.
Now time for a cup of tea.

  1. Good to see there is a holding device to keep fingers well away from the blade of that rather ferocious looking guillotine.

  2. I love that paper with all the bits in it. It would make beautiful note paper. The cover is lovely too. Well done.

  3. It looks like you have some fine high tech tools to work with.
The roses didn't seem to mind all that rain. Wish I could have been there to help you. I miss our rose garden every time I look at a rose ... or even a picture of one.

  4. Your handmade paper book looks wonderful! Hope you enjoyed the cup of tea after all the dead-heading work. You deserved it.

  5. You are going to have a lovely lot of handmade books of which you should be very proud! And you deserve a medal for driving from Werribee to Brunswick. I would be too chicken.

  6. Great fun Jenni. No time for a dull moment with all your fabulous crafts to fill your time.
