Travel Journal - 3

We spent a day walking the back streets of Paris, the weather was beautiful and the trees rustled in the breeze.
I took note of doors, knockers and handles.
Background photocopy of Paris map, white washed and blue watercolour added for the sky.
Cut out door frames of 2 photos, drew the doors and coloured them in.
Stamps, label and 2 wrappers from a box of chocolates that I bought, just for the papers.
Watercolour and shapes of leaves. The gardens and trees were beautiful, full of spring bulbs and bearded iris.
Melbourne Cup day lunched at Kyneton, visit to the Botanical Gardens to see the Iris.

  1. Sounds like a nice way to spend Cup Day.

  2. Very effective doorway treatment for your Parisian walk. The exposition medal on the chocolate wrapper is the same as on one of my very old sewing machines.

  3. Paris back streets are wonderful and Kyneton is a lovely old town...

  4. Your journal pages get better and better - a great idea to bring back memories of your travels.

  5. That is an impressive scrapbook! - We were in Paris in April and I spent way too much time photographing Doors, Windows and Cobblestone designs for DS#2's Texture Library I 'almost' forgot to take real photos :)
    Cheers Wendy

  6. I rook loads of photos of doors too. The variety there is amazing.
