Amitie Patchwork

3 of us took a drive to Torquay (Victoria) last week to visit the relocated quilt shop Amitie.
A very large warehouse has been converted into the shop with a cafe to be set up in the near future.
A large rusted sign out the front is the only hint that it is a shop.
Worth a visit if you are in the area or wish to go on a weekend drive.

Selection of sewing machines on display.

  1. With the added café it will an even more tempting destination for the quilter.

  2. It seems to be a popular new place. The Kilmore group is planning a bus trip there for a sit n sew day early next year. They have to plan well ahead..

  3. Of course a quilt shop can suck you in even without the cafe. Did you only bring home pictures?

  4. Yeah. Two out of the three machines are Australian.
