A Warm Morning in the Rose Garden

Spent a very warm morning (31 degrees) in the State Rose Garden.
We pruned 5 weepers, having a rest from raking all the cut deadheads onto the mat for pick up.
They are either burnt, if they have black spot or mulched.
Under one of our weeping roses, this mass of tangled stems with a few buds poking through.
A Peter James Rose called "Eyes For You".
Interesting shape and form.

  1. You are very brave to be out and about in the heat

  2. I like the look of that "Eyes for you" rose - but does it have perfume?

  3. It looks like a cross breed between a tulip and a camellia!
Keep your head cool in the heat!
