"Sudden Shower" Exhibition at Kimono House

A collection of work handcrafted in the Japanese tradition by the Bond Family for the Christmas display at the Johnson House Collection.
The exhibition has been re-displayed by Kimono House, Nicholas Building. Melbourne.
September 17 - October 15, 2016
A small selection below.
This Kimono was hand appliqued depicting a fishing experience.

  1. My children had a copy of Peach Boy, and another Japanese folktale The Stonecutter, about being careful what you wish for.

  2. Thanks for the reminder about this exhibition. I am planning to visit it on Thursday.

  3. Thank you for sharing the amazing work of the Bond girls. Maureen is a blog friend of mine and fantastic needleworker. I am so glad this fantastic exhibition can be seen at the Kimono House, too.

  4. Amazing work Maureen from you and your girls

  5. Lovely display. Wish I could stop by and see the wonderful objects that this talented family of stitchers has created.

  6. Lovely exhibit by amazing artists. I am so proud to know Maureen, even though it's a "cyber"relationship....i would love to see her doing tutorials and classes on what she has done here.

  7. On behalf of my girls and self, thank you all for your kind comments. The owner of Kimono House exhibited the work in the most wonderful way.
