Our bus left at 8.15 am this morning with a group of excited ladies
that were louder than a school bus of kids.
We were thankful that the day was a day of no rain, a bit chilly but a lot of fun.
First stop was Renee's Cottage Crafts at Beaufort, north of Ballarat.
We were welcomed with steaming hot cups of coffee and tea.
By the time we arrived, a lot of us couldn't feel out toes, it was rather cold.
Next stop, Eureka Patchwork in Victoria Street, Ballarat.
A great array of fabrics at discount prices.
I bought some background pieces for my 1 inch diamond quilt.
Lunch at the local pub around the corner.
Enjoyed Salt and Pepper Squid and Salad.
The tables were laid with paper and a glass containing crayons.
The Kindergarten Child came out in us all as we doodled and scribbled on the paper.
After lunch we stopped at this rather plain little hall.
A surprise was in stall, The Cotton Factory was opened 4 months ago and
they welcomed us as their first big bus group to visit.
Again, lovely afternoon tea and hot drinks.
A great shop with bright fabrics, patterns and Kaffe Fasset type fabrics on sale.
128 Clyde Street, Ballarat
Thurs, Fri, Sat 10am - 3pm.
Last stop for the day was Gail's at Ballarat.
As usual, a bright and bubbly Gail greeted us.
Her garden is looking lovely, minus a few little tufts of white violets
that just happened to find their way into my bag!!!.
Why did I give away my Grandmother and Mum's Singer Treadle machine,
I still kick myself for doing it.
