Another border finished to my Longbourne (Katrina Hadjimichael) quilt. The next one is a border of scallops and appliqued vine. I am running out of space to take a photo of my quilt.

Sea of Yellow

Surrounding our area, the annual planting of the Canola crops are in full bloom. Paddocks alongside  the Highway to Geelong are a sea of yellow. All of a sudden, you drive past and there they are, then next day they could all be gone, harvested. This annual event is the welcome to Spring.

Wyndham Quilt In

Enjoyed a lovely day yesterday at the Wyndham Quilt In, held at Kelly Park, here in Werribee. Wonderful company of Joy, Judy, Doris and Wendy. Corliss from Threadbear quilt shop in Castlemaine was guest speaker. She spoke of and showed her collection of antique quilts and some of her own made ones. Truly inspirational. Loved hearing the background of her collection from America and family stories.
It's at these quilt ins that you get to catch up others that you haven't seen in a while. Not much sewing done but lots of chatter, beautiful cakes/slices and didn't get to buy anything from the 3 shops. Too busy talking!!!!
