Singapore by Night

After a few hours sleep this afternoon, can't sleep on planes, we sat up on the 22nd floor Sky Lounge with a wine and watched the sun set over Marina Bay and the Gardens by the Bay.

Got back in time for the Laser Light Show.
There are 2 showing, 8pm and 9.30pm.
St Andrews  Church can be seen from our room window.

Clarke Quay, is another form of Southbank at home.

We met 2 couples on the cruise from Singapore, who advised us not to miss the Lau Pa Sat outdoor night food market. We walked there tonight, approx. 30 mins from our hotel.

We were told to go to Stall 9 for Satay as it is the best.

Chicken, beef, prawn satays and the beers didn't hit the sides in the warmth of tonight. I'm not a beer drinker, but it was good and extra cold!!

Walking back, the lights are beautiful.

There is a French influence here.

National Gallery of Singapore.

  3. Your first picture in the distance of this blog is of a three tiered building with the garden and pools covering the three towers and it has just been on a program here where it showed the building of it and the different shaped buildings nearby which are worth a viewing. The sculpture hanging in one of the towers is stunning so hope you get to see it all close up.
