Dawn Service at the Shrine

4.30 am this morning, The Poppies were being laid out on Princes Bridge
for the veterans to march through.

Followed the crowd  down St. Kilda Road to the Shrine for the Dawn Service.
Crisp, cool morning, with a little rain.
After the service.
A beautiful sight, carpets of the 250,000 Poppies on the bridge.
Tomorrow, my poppy that I am wearing, will be placed at the new Australian and Turkish memorial in the Kings Domain to honour my Grandfather.
 More at Federation Square.
100+ poppies that I knitted are somewhere among the field.

  1. The poppies look beautiful pre-dawn on the bridge. There has been an incredible response to them.
