Lorne, Victoria

We decided on the spur of the moment this morning to head off for a drive.
Ended up at Lorne via Anglesea, where we stopped for a coffee and an apple slice.
Called into the Op Shop and found a Guardian Chemist knitting book for babies for 50 cents.
There is a call out from our Guild for baby and children's knits.
The drive down the Great Ocean Road was very slow, many tourists not exceeding 30 kph. Bit frustrating as our manual car didn't get above 2nd gear following them.!!!
We passed one car, there was the look of fear as the driver hugged the steering wheel with his nose inches from his wind screen.
Lunch at Lorne sitting by the beach in the sun.
Along one of the beaches on the way down, there were 17 horses and their riders enjoying a gallop along the edge of the water.

  1. Love that photo of the 'ladies' outside the old guesthouse. I should have been still living in Anglesea and could have joined you for coffee.... Spent last night in Melbourne, babysitting, home today.

  2. Can't remember how long it is since I was last in Lorne - it could be 20 years or more!
