It's Jacaranda season.

Called into Poyntons Nursery yesterday looking for a Jacaranda to plant in the front lawn.
Was told it takes between 5 - 10 years for them to flower.

  1. Did you buy one?

I've thought of you whenever I've seen a jacaranda lately.

  2. yes me too saw lots of Jacaranda trees in Napier today looking so beautiful in bloom. We drove up to see my parents for the day as they aren't coming down for xmas.

  3. They are worth the wait. If you did get one remember to protect it from frost when it is small. I find mine does not flower every year, at the moment it is still putting out more and more of the stunning green leaf tips.
